Recover where you train

Sauna, steam room & the Cool Tub — included, steps from the floor.

ONE Boulder Fitness has one of the only full recovery suites inside a Boulder gym — a traditional sauna, a steam room, and the Cool Tub, all included with membership. You don't drive across town to recover after training; it's steps from the floor, downtown on Broadway.

Why it matters

Recovery is training too.

For Boulder's runners, cyclists, climbers and skiers, what you do after the effort is what lets you do it again tomorrow. Heat and cold are simple, evidence-informed tools for circulation, stiffness and a clear head.

Consistent contrast — a warm sauna, then the Cool Tub — is one of the easiest recovery habits to actually keep, because here it's ten steps from the floor instead of a separate trip across town.

Steam room

A rarity in a Boulder gym.

Most Boulder gyms don't have a steam room. Humid heat is gentler on the airways than dry sauna and a favorite after a hard interval session or a dusty trail day. It's part of the suite — no add-on, no appointment.

Contrast therapy

Hot, cold, repeat — a protocol you can actually keep.

Because the sauna and the Cool Tub sit side by side, contrast therapy isn't a logistics project — it's a five-minute habit between your workout and the rest of your day.

STEP 01

Warm through

10–15 minutes in the sauna or steam room until you're properly warm.

STEP 02

Cool Tub

1–3 minutes in the Cool Tub at room temperature. Breathe slow; let it settle.

STEP 03

Repeat & finish cold

Two to three rounds. Finishing on cold leaves you alert and clear-headed.

Common questions

Recovery, answered.

Does ONE Boulder Fitness have a cold plunge?

We have the Cool Tub — held at room temperature, not iced — plus a full cedar sauna and a eucalyptus steam room, all included with membership at our downtown Boulder club on Broadway.

Is the recovery suite included with membership?

Yes. Every membership includes full access to the sauna, steam room and Cool Tub — there's no add-on fee.

Can I use it without joining?

Yes. Claim a free day pass to try the recovery suite, or ask about short-term and punch passes.

What temperature is the cold plunge?

It's the Cool Tub, and it's held at room temperature — not iced. Most members sit for 1–4 minutes, often after the sauna.

Sauna vs. steam room — what's the difference?

The sauna is traditional dry heat (180°F+); the steam room is humid heat that's gentler on the airways. We have both.
