A Boulder gym built for students, not just your budget.

ONE Boulder Fitness offers a $80/mo student rate — open to any enrolled student in the Boulder area, CU Boulder included — with no contract and no enrollment fee. It's also one of the only gyms downtown with a cold plunge and sauna included, not sold as a separate membership. Walk in on a free day pass first; decide after.

What you actually get

Four reasons students join here.

Not a student "deal" bolted onto a regular gym — this is what every member gets.

$80/mo, no contract

Student ID gets you $10 off the standard rate, month-to-month. Pause or cancel if your semester plans change.

Cold plunge & sauna

Most gyms your classmates go to don't have this. Here it's included, thirty feet from the weights.

Free day pass

Try the whole club — floor, sauna, cold plunge — before you commit to anything.

A real community

Not a mega-gym where nobody knows your name. Trainers and members who actually do.

Recovery, not an afterthought

Useful after a lift. Just as useful after finals week.

The Cool Tub is held at room temperature — not iced — and seats eight, so it's a place people actually hang out, not something you grit your teeth through. Most members sit for one to four minutes, often right after the cedar sauna (dry heat, 180°F+) or the eucalyptus steam room (humid heat, easier on the lungs). All three are included with every membership, student rate or not — no separate recovery-studio membership to juggle on top of a class schedule.

Close to campus

Downtown, not a shuttle ride from campus.

1800 Broadway is a short trip from CU Boulder — close enough to fit between classes, far enough from the dorm gym that's crowded every finals week. No long-term commitment to worry about if your housing changes next semester, and no pressure the first time you walk in.

Fuel

A dietitian on-site, not a diet app.

Emily Copeland, MPH, RD, is our resident registered dietitian, on-site through ActivEnergy Nutrition. Every membership — student rate included — comes with one free consult with a trainer, the physical therapist, or the dietitian, so getting real, practical eating advice for a training-plus-class-schedule life doesn't cost anything extra to try.

Common questions

Student membership, answered.

Is there a student discount at ONE Boulder Fitness?

Yes — $80/mo instead of $90/mo, with the same $0 enrollment fee and full access, including the recovery suite. Bring a current student ID.

Is this only for CU Boulder students?

No. Most of our student members are from CU Boulder since it's closest, but the rate is open to any enrolled student in the Boulder area with a valid ID.

Is there a contract? What if I study abroad or graduate?

No contract — membership is month-to-month, so you can pause or cancel whenever your semester plans change.

Can I try it before I join?

Yes — a free day pass gets you the full gym floor, cold plunge, sauna and steam room, no card and no pitch.

What are ONE Boulder Fitness's hours?

Mon–Thu · 6am–8pm, Fri · 6am–7pm, Sat–Sun · 8am–4pm — early enough for a workout before an 8am class, open through most evening schedules.

What amenities are actually included with a student membership?

The full gym floor plus Sauna, Steam Room, Cold Plunge, Towel Service, Validated Parking — same amenities as every membership, not a stripped-down student tier.

I climb or ski — is there someone who can help if I get hurt?

Yes. Resident physical therapist Dr. Emma Stevenson treats climbing and sports injuries on-site, including dry needling — no separate referral needed to ask questions.

I've never really used a gym before — is that a problem?

No — Peter McIntosh, one of our trainers, works specifically with people who are new to the gym and coaches at a beginner pace.
